RED RUBBER BALL: Building schools for them, by them
I became an educator because I wanted to empower others to grow and develop. As I travel and engage others in education it becomes clearer that our schools have long been designed around models that no longer meet the needs of our learners. Educating today's student requires a system that promotes personalized educational programs for students and staff so that we can foster creativity, innovation, and collaboration. My passion is working to build schools that empower students to own the learning process, staff to own professional learning, and the community to build schools that reflect the changing needs of our society.

RED RUBBER BALL: To help others/the gym
My passion is to encourage others. Part of how I do this is through exercise. I feel that through exercise I can help people gain confidence to accept who they are. By accepting who they are they can feel good about themselves. With that confidence they will have the courage to stand up for what they believe is right, even if that means standing against the crowd.
